I’m back home now and I’ve had some time to reflect on this insane month that’s just passed. Still hard for me to find the right words to describe exactly how I’m feeling. The only way to best describe it is like I’ve finally reached the top of the mountain I’ve been climbing for 7years and I can finally just breathe and enjoy the view.

My first Paralympic experience was great, Tokyo definitely knows how to host. Even with all the restrictions and challenges they had to overcome they still made us feel so welcomed and so special. Living in the village was the highlight for me being among hundreds of other elite athletes and just soaking in all the good vibes. I definitely became more inspired and even more fired up to work even harder and achieve higher goals. I came back to South Africa with a sore body but with a fired up spirit.
